The original house was a four bedroom, split-level in Chappaqua. The house was built in the 1960’s and had some prior renovations, including a new kitchen and a remodeled bathroom. The clients’ young children were getting older and they wanted to explore the idea of a master suite retreat. The challenge was to build it using the homes’ existing footprint.
Working entirely within the footprint, we removed the roof, raised the attic ceilings and built an expansive master suite with a spa like bathroom, large walk-in closet and sitting area with office. The original master bedroom and bath was remodeled and handed over to their teenage daughter.
The other rooms in the house received new paint and moldings. The exterior was resided and new stonework was installed at the front of the house.
The newly remodeled house looks great and the client’s got exactly they wanted – a beautiful master bedroom retreat and a fresh look to the whole house exterior.
