Chappaqua Kitchen (Turtleback Way)

Meyler004Our client loves to cook. She spends a lot of time in the kitchen, but her old kitchen was poorly designed and not inviting. She had done her homework and knew what she wanted - beautiful kitchen cabinetry in soothing colors with magnificent detailing. After showing us pictures she had saved from magazines, we designed a kitchen to her exacting specifications.

We moved a poorly placed door to provide better access to the pantry and moved some windows to provide better space for the cabinetry. In the adjoining family room we moved some windows to allow for placement of a TV and the fireplace was remodeled with new stone veneer to better suit the kitchen.

The centerpiece of the kitchen is a large curving bent wood range hood; underneath you’ll find a tile mural of a Tuscany farm. The kitchen cabinets are different heights and depths to add visual interest, all topped with a beautiful egg and dart crown molding. The large kitchen island and butler’s pantry are cherry with a walnut stain and a dark brown glaze.

The finished product – a gorgeous traditional kitchen with all the modern amenities.
